Hancock Lodge No. 311 Annual Communications Summons

Brethren; As Master of Hancock Lodge it becomes my duty to remind all of our Brothers that our upcoming stated meeting for December 4th, 2014 is our Annual Communications and Election night.

I hereby summon all Master Masons in the local vicinity to Ft. Leavenworth to attend our Annual Communications, and give cause and notify the Lodge Secretary and/or the Master of Hancock Lodge No. 311 as to reason why they cannot be present and participate in this Annual Communication and Election night.

Entered apprentices and Fellow crafts are also invited, but, cannot vote in the election process.

King Solomon #10 Centennial Celebration 23 November 2014

Brethren please look over the Dedication Invitation  for King Solomon’s  Centennial  and help support this unique activity celebrating 100 years since the construction of their Lodge building in Delaware St.

Please RSVP per instruction on the invitation. The meal expenses will be born by the Lodge, however any donations to help mitigate the cost will be appreciated.  Come by and support them and fellowship with others.

Funeral Services and Obituary for WB Rupert Franklin Glover

COL. Rupert Franklin “Frank” Glover (November 23, 1932 – November 8, 2014)

Rupert Franklin “Frank” Glover, 82, entered through the portals to the Grand Lodge above this Saturday, November 8, 2014 at home. In hospice care prior to his death, Frank passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Rock of Ages Church in Leavenworth, KS on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 1:00 – 2:30p.m., a Masonic service at 2:30 pm, followed by a Memorial service at 3:00 p.m. A celebration of Frank’s life reception dinner will be immediately following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to The Guidance Center, 500 Limit St. Leavenworth, Kansas or Rock of Ages Church, 1017 Randolph St. Leavenworth, Kansas, Shriners Hospitals for Children, and Rite Care. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be left on Frank’s online guestbook at www.davisfuneralchapelinc.com

Frank was born November 23, 1932 in Cumming, Georgia, to Winfred and Daisey (Chadwick) Glover. He attended the University of Nebraska for his undergraduate degree and received his Master’s Degree from the University of Kansas.

Frank served his country in the Army until 1978, attaining the rank of Colonel. On August 10, 1956, he married the love of his life and best friend, Virginia “Anne” (Huff) Glover.  During his life he was blessed with the birth of four children, Robert Lee (Kathleen) Glover, Vicky Anne (Steve) Kaaz, Cathy Lynne Wright, and Linda Kaye Schmidt (Mike Rulewicz), 14 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren, along with many other young people who also affectionately referred to him as “grampa”.

He was preceded in death by his parents Winfred and Daisey Glover, and his brother Edwin Glover. Following his retirement from military service, Frank dedicated himself to his growing family and making life better for those less fortunate than himself. He was an active member of the Rock of Ages Church, the Abdallah Shriners,  Hancock Lodge #311, the Armed Forces Scottish Rite, Valley of Ft. Leavenworth and Ft. Leavenworth Chapter 154 of the National Sojourners.
