Masons have Kansas Pride

imageOn the morning of March 18, 2016, Kansas Mason’s Day as proclaimed by the Kansas Governor’s Office, it was announced that the Kansas Masons would extend funding and local support to the Kansas PRIDE Program. Masons from 220 lodges across Kansas have collectively given $2.5 million through the Kansas Masonic Foundation to support Kansas State University programs, $1 million of which will benefit and support the Kansas PRIDE program. Week of Pride is May 22-28, 2016, which is coming up later this month.

In preparation for Week of Pride, K-State Research and Extension Office Community Vitality staff will be attempting to reach every lodge in the state of Kansas.  Very few times do we have entities in the community seeking out their lodge like this and attempting to engage them directly in an effort that will put the lodge at the center of the community!  Both Leavenworth and Lansing are Kansas Pride cities.  Fort Leavenworth has not yet been reached.  Now is golden opportunity.

“Very few times do we have entities in the community seeking out their lodge like this.”

It’s time to show that if a community has a Masonic Lodge, they could have no better neighbor.  For more information about this particular program, see Kansas PRIDE Program.  For more information on the Building Kansas campaign, part of the 50th Anniversary of the Kansas Masonic Foundation, please see kansasmasonic.foundation.
