W:. Bro. Jerry Osborne opened a Table Lodge of Affection on Thursday evening, February 1, 2018 in the main dining hall of Boughton Memorial Hall and welcomed a full room of brothers, ladies and guests. Toasts to the ladies were offered throughout the night including one to the First Lady of Kansas Masons, Mrs. Nikki Presley (See video) and one to his own lady, Teresa, first lady of Hancock Lodge #311.
Service awards were presented on behalf of M:. W:. Bro. Cole Presley, Grand Master, to Brothers Ross Perkins, Fred Hope, and Jerry Collins. three legends in our Masonic Hall, and Anthony Rolfe, our current Junior Warden. They received their emblems and certificates for 65, 60, 50 and 25 years, respectively.
The meal was a delicious choice of brisket or chicken provided by one of our favorite local caterers and the meal was served by the young ladies and chaperone from Bethel #28 of Job’s Daughters. It was a fabulous evening for all who attended. Besides the two first ladies already mentioned, toasts were given to the First Lady of the United States, and the Mothers, Daughters, and Widows of our Masonic Family.
Remarks heard around the table included, “It has been way too long since we last had a Table Lodge with the ladies at Hancock.” “This was an event not to be missed.” “Food was very delicious.” “A well-planned, well-executed event.” “I hope we do something like this again in the near future.” “We are a family and this was an excellent family event.” “The roses for the ladies was a very nice touch.”
So, hats off to Bros. Jerry Osborne, WM, Mike Kwiatkowski, SW, Anthony Rolfe, JW, and the other officers and ladies who did yeoman’s work to plan the event, conduct the registration, prepare the dining room, make all the arrangements, and conduct such a wonderful Table Lodge of Affection.
